Our

Angels

We couldn't do what we do without the generous support of corporate and individual Angel sponsors like you. Through your sponsorship, we're able to bring this message of freedom and empowerment, free of charge, to the disenfranchised and most vulnerable in our communities.

Ministry or Marketplace?

Yes. This production is both ministry and marketplace. We are a social enterprise that marries the social mission of a non-profit with the market-driven approach of a business. In this way, we avoid the red tape of a non-profit and still serve our community.

The overarching theme of The Once Upon a Backpack EXPERIENCE is freedom--freedom from self-imposed limitations brought on by the lies that we believe about ourselves--lies that we carry in our proverbial backpacks, the weight of which keeps us from experiencing the fullness of our unique design. It is a life-changing message of empowerment embedded in two hours of bold, sometimes shocking, yet beautifully real and relevant entertainment. It is a message for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. We serve our community by providing this production free of charge to the disenfranchised and most vulnerable.

It is our desire to keep ticket prices low to allow for as many people as possible to experience this production.

  • Equipment

  • Artist Compensation

  • Creative Fees

  • Marketing & Publicity

  • Advertising

  • Administration

  • Audience Gifts

  • Rentals

  • Professional and Legal Fees

  • Additional ongoing expenses

Be an Angel

As you can surmise, with a low ticket price it is not going to be enough to cover expenses and allow for us to bring this production, free of charge, to disadvantaged community groups. This is where our Angel sponsors come into play.

How does it work? Sponsors choose to provide the dollar amount of a ticket or a number of tickets. This is an investment not only into our theatrical production but into the lives of those who cannot afford to pay (ie. those in women's crisis centers, halfway houses, victim safe houses, etc).

We hope you will consider how you, your organization, or your corporation can help provide this message of freedom and empowerment to those most vulnerable.
